Step-by-step setup

Open pro.kraken.com in a separate tab and sign in to the account you want the bot to trade on. Make sure 2FA is enabled — non-negotiable for an account holding any size.

Go to Settings → API

Top-right avatar menu → Settings → API tab. Or jump straight to kraken.com/u/security/api/new.

Give it a memorable nickname like orange-genie-bot so you remember which integration owns it later.

Enable ONLY these four. Leave Withdraw and Transfer OFF. If those are off, even if someone steals the key they can't move your funds — they can only trade them inside Kraken.
